A seven days in house training programme “Hands on training on farm mechanization for sustaining the livelihood of tribal farmers in Mizoram” was organized by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Mizoram Centre, Kolasib during 22nd to 28th Marchunder TSPProject.Nine farmers each from three villages Meidum, Bukvannei and Saiphai villages have participated in the in-house training. During the training, the farmers were acquainted with different components of IFS and field visits, crop and animal husbandry and hands-on practical on vermicomposting, mushroom etc by all scientists of the centre. The farmers were also trained with hands-on power tiller operations, water pump, hatchery machines, turmeric grinding machines. There was a fruitful interaction between the experts and farmers during the session and farm.
